One of my dear college friends, Whitney, was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this summer. Not only has she faced surgery, treatment and hair loss head-on, she has kept an incredible attitude and emerged -dare I say- happier and more optimistic than ever. Have you ever seen a bald woman glow? Well, she does and I am not referring to the shine, I mean the ear-to-ear grin and the beautiful bald head which she threw a party to shave!
So a huge congratulations to you, Whit! You are much more than halfway through this journey and half of your chemo treatments are behind you!
I am so proud of what you have done with the hand you were dealt. Silly cancer… guess you showed it who's boss!
