Six weeks out

So today I finally had a moment to remove my toenail polish and semi – fix my toes that were looking pretty sad. It was a pre-baby pedi hanging on there.

So I guess today is a bit of a corner turn as I'm also leaving the house sans kiddos. albeit, only for a quick trip to the grocery store... And with both a tether and the clock ticking until the next nursing session. But at least the car still remembered my seat preference! So not the whole world has forgotten me as I reemerge from newborn-baby-land. Likewise, I guess "price posts" is a bit of a "me" thing now too. Given that it only takes a few seconds to snap a picture, dictate a caption and then hit send (which is the method de regeur the kid's blogs) and always a babe in my arms it seems, I never seem to find the a moment to sit down to a computer and create something for this blog. I have wondered if this blog isn't totally done and it's time to go ahead and throw in the towel on the blog and retire it. But then I think maybe it's just a phase, much like the journey of motherhood. The some day - that seems far away now but will end up being more like a blink of an eye- I'll have more time on my hands that I will know what to do with and I'll sit around and daydream of the days my arms and seconds were full with my babies, wondering where the time went.

Pulling into Central market parking lot now – time to quit dictating and run into the store. After all, the clock is ticking…

Welcoming Molly Maryn!

Miss Molly entered the world today at straight up noon, weighing 6 pounds 13 ounces and measuring 19 3/4 inches long.  She had her blue eyes wide open from her very first moments.
We are doing great and look forward to introducing her to you soon.

An impromptu walk through some lovely bluebonnets and a kind stranger walking his dog provided one a the handful of family pictures we manage to capture each year. Incredibly enough, there is actually one with all of is looking!

Office coming out day

So as I saw people today in the office, I was generally greeted with wide eyes, huge grins (or wide mouths) and comments such as "holy sh!t," "what happened to you!?!" "Is it twins?!" or "uh, I just have to say that *this* (motion circling the belly), is progressing REALLY FAST"

So I guess there isn't much concealing the belly now at 22 weeks today. She's popped out for all to see and is not messing around. The funny thing is, other parts have popped out quite generously, too. But even relative to my frontwards-facing growth... The belly is a force to be reckoned with!

Lauren has referenced a picture of me with a post-it note on a profile view of my belly from Jackson. I'm thinking I could easily recreate that shot but not sure if I'll remember in two weeks, so might need to do that sooner rather than later.

It's a Girl!

Our Christmas surprise was finding out that our little addition is a little lady.  We are delighted and I am a bit relieved because I can't imagine trying to explain to the shorty that he was getting a baby boy instead of a baby girl.  Maybe it's just that he somehow knew and he was trying to tell us instead of making a request... but either way, it worked out.

In other news, at a mere 18 weeks, we can now see the little lady bump-thumping against my belly and others can feel her.  She's rather wiggly, like her big brother was, and that's fine by me because it is my most favorite part of being pregnant!

What's a recipe to you?

I keep re-learning of this great site and forgetting.  Only to be lucky enough to learn of it again...
